A pessimist would say the cinders of the fire that burned SEVEN THOUSAND ACRES of land this weekend could easily reignite. And the Los Angeles Fire Chief is saying a bit of both Fire operations will be continuing for some time, but the good news is that containment is rising and most evacuees have been able to return home Is it any wonder we love firemen? Of course, we know the effects of a natural disaster last far longer than the disaster itself. And if we forgot, Texas Governor Greg Abbott reminded us In a weekend interview, he estimated that recovery costs for the state in the wake of Hurricane Harvey will likely hit 180 BILLION dollars So far, the White House has asked Congress for a little under 8 billion, but Governor Abbott has framed that as a down-payment.
